TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade - What It IsTabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker. The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background. They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice. What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow. What You Trade OnThey offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.CostsThree account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume. How Fast Are the FillsThe execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.SafetyThis is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there. That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It should factor into how you think about it.The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.Welcome OfferTab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding. The full review, including all the tabtrade details before you click here open an account, is at tradetheday.com.
